I photographed the rooms on several occasions, over a period of three months. I took hundreds of pictures and many were inevitably very similar. The process of looking first at the room and then at segments through the viewfinder and finally at the resulting photographs required a repetitive and concentrated effort of looking. This became something like a meditation. I hope each image embodies something of that intense observation.
