The work is seen as narrative and ironic by the artist, in the depiction of girls and animals and adolescents, set in pared down but specific locations, they are left uncomfortably unexplained . There is however regard for their humanity and with the animals the indication of a human situation satirically presented through the animals plight .The work moves uneasily between voyeurism and political opinion ,it is mildly provocative but also held within an aspect of pathos. The lack of political correctness is a realisation of the artists uncertainty ,obsessiveness , and vulnerability but in some ways mirrors collective obsessions.
